Relieve your migraine symptoms that typically come with stomach issues, including nausea, vomiting, and dry heaves. Try one of these drinks to help quickly soothe your stomach.
1. Cold Water
Slowly sipping a glass of ice water can help relieve nausea. Staying hydrated is essential for your brain and body health. If you don’t like to drink plain water, you can infuse it to add a little flavor.
2. Lemon Juice and Lemonade
Lemons contain neutralizing acids, which form bicarbonates. These compounds help relieve nausea, which is why lemon juice and lemonade are good options. The juice from the lemon stirs up the saliva in your mouth, which can also help relieve nausea. Note that citrus can be a migraine trigger for some people. Make sure you are aware of your triggers.
3. Baking Soda Brew
Drinking baking soda dissolved in water can help relieve nausea. Because baking soda is an alkaline substance, it can neutralize and change the pH level of the acids it interacts with, including the acids in your stomach. Ginger ale can also help with nausea, but be mindful of the sugar content. Ginger tea offers the same benefits minus the sugar content.
6. Pear Ginger Smoothie

Although soda has a high sugar content, it can quickly help relieve nausea. Choose a soda that is low in caffeine and try to avoid artificial sweeteners. Be mindful that for some, soda can help relieve an upset stomach, but for others, its carbonation may be irritating.
